And that number doesn't even include th e 46 kids racers we saw last night. We hope everyone had a great time on and off the course and we''re already looking forward to seeing you all back next week for our last short track race before the mid-series break.
To revive the race action and overall vibe of yesterday's races, you only got to check one place: our series photographer Victor Duong's flickr photo album of STXC # 3. Enjoy!
Results of STXC # 3

Note: results will be posted on OBRA first thing in the morning. However, there were a couple laps where our lap count team had some difficulties scoring everysingle rider. So - when they are up - look at the results and if they look wonky check the number of laps first. Then send a message to iur Chief Judge Candi Murray stating the error. Please include your category and plate number. Also if you know any other racers you finished with, that could be helpful. We'll get it all sorted out...thanks for your patience!

06/19 - Cat 3 Men 40-49 racer Joel West (Cyclepath Racing) brought out the cross bike to tackle Monday's twisty course and raced it to a respectable 4th place finish. (photo by Victor Duong).

06/19 - Never raced Short Track before, but like to give it a try? Have friends who you think should give Short Track a shot?... just come out tonight (Monday June 19) for our special "School's Out!" Junior & Newbie Short Track Night presented by Bike Gallery and bring your friends!
- All new short track racers (who have never raced a Portland Short Track Series race before) will enjoy $10 off the regular day-of-race fee!
- OBRA will waive the $5 single-day OBRA license fee for anyone who comes out to race this Monday!
- In addition, we'll raffle off a bunch of cool prizes among all junior and newbie short track racers!
- And like every week, we'll feature FREE Short Track Skills Clinics, FREE Kids Races, and FREE Dave's Killer Bread PB&J sandwiches!

06/13 - Our second night of racing yesterday saw another great turn-out, featuring 334 racers plus 34 riders in our free kids races! A special shout to James Ceccorulli and his crew for designing another awesome course that had a ton of flow and seemed to please novice and elite riders alike! Also thanks to our series photographer Victor Duong for capturing the action!

Results of yesterday's adult/junior races and kids races have been posted. Starting next Monday, we'll do priority call-ups for the top-5 in each category!

6/11 - Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Check out who of your friends and team mates - if not you yourself?! - is among the 30 lucky winners in the first installment of our weekly raffle! Every week, we'll raffle off a bunch of cool prizes (donated by our generous sponsors) among everyone who raced the last race and all our series pass holders. This week's primes are courtesy of Hopworks Urban Brewery, Bike Gallery, Breadwinner Cycles, and Dave's Killer Bread. 06/09 - After a fun and summery kick-off of the 2017 series, we hope you are all ready for more!
The latest NOAA weather forecast for Monday calls for perfect racing weather (partly sunny, with highs in the mid 60s), we'll change up the course (including some new, fun lines on the motocross track), AND... we'll bring back the Dave's Killer Bread food station, serving FREE PB&J sandwiches to all racers!

This will allow some of our Expert Junior racers to race with a more competitive field, while being in compliance with the OBRA rule that stipulates that "[...] Fields which define a range with an upper and lower limit may only include racers that fall within that range."

06/06 - Last night, we kicked off the 2017 short track season in full summer mode and with a course that seriously rocked. More than 360 racers (plus another 30 kids racers) came out to partake in the fun and we like to extend a special shout to the many folks out there who raced short track for the very first time or who came back out of retirement! We hope you all had a great time and looking forward to seeing you back next week!
